Yamaha recently revealed three new special edition VMAX models to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the iconic motorcycle. A part of the Japanese manufacturer’s Sport Heritage range, two of these new models are currently on sale in the European market, while the VMAX Infrared is a one-off custom motorcycle.
The VMAX Carbon is a carbon fibre clad special edition motorcycle. The lightweight material adorns the motorcycle’s fuel tank, mudguards and the bodywork, giving the powercruiser a meaner look. Mechanically, the VMAX Carbon is similar to the standard motorcycle, except for the Akrapovic slip-on exhaust. Prices in the UK start at GBP 18,749 (Rs 17.73 lakh).

The Vmax is powered by 1679cc V4 liquid-cooled engine that produces 200bhp at 9,000rpm and maximum torque of 167Nm at 6,500rpm. This engine is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox with one-down four up gear-shift pattern and is wrapped around aluminium frame. The bike features a slipper clutch, wave-style brake discs, ABS, and complete suspension adjustability front and rear.
